Overijssel Biennale

Details:  Berns MuseumManagement was asked by a Municipality in Overijssel to elaborate a concept for an Overijssel Biennale on the basis of a sculpture exhibition. The Biennale is intended to develop into a major cultural provincial activity with a national profile.

Result:   A communication and fund-raising plan was drawn up for and presented to the Municipality. Talks are currently being held with the Municipality and the Province about the implementation of the plan.

Museum de Fundatie

Client: ‘Stichting Hannema-de Stuers Fundatie’

Period: 2006-2007

Details:  The assignment was to guide and support the museum’s communication advisor in marketing the recently opened museum and a number of exhibitions, including the crowd puller ‘Voerman 150 years. Henk van Ulsen selects’. Museum de Fundatie has two wonderful locations at its disposal: Het Nijenhuis Castle in Heino and the Palace on Blijmarkt in Zwolle.

Result:   The communication advisor was supported throughout the period in question and the museum and the exhibitions enjoyed extensive national exposure. All media reported on ‘Voerman 150 years’ (30,000 visitors) and the exhibition was covered in the NOS newscast.
